Discussing New Strategies with FIA Region I Club Managers in Minsk
Publication date: 11 June 2011
New marketing ideas, the innovation of new products and services, as well as new road safety plans, were all topics under discussion at the 27th FIA Region I Middle Management Workshop which took place in Minsk from 7-10 June.
Belarusian Auto Moto Touring Club (BKA) and its President Rafael Mussaev welcomed 23 participants from 13 Clubs to Minsk for three days of discussion and exchange of best practices with each day focusing on a different issue of concern.
Day one focused on Club Membership with participants looking at the key factors for a club to remain successful today, while day two focused on the subject of ‘Creativity and Innovation’ and in particular, how can clubs work on continuous improvement of their products and services? (market research, creativity, listening to customers and employees, getting more from members). The workshop concluded with a look at different road safety strategies pursued by the Clubs and the steps taken they have taken to promote the UN Decade of Action and its goals.
Director General of FIA Region I, Jacob Bangsgaard, commented: “The Middle Management Workshop remains a key platform for the exchange of best practices between clubs on issues of common concern such as membership and business models. The platform also allows for new networks to be built between colleagues who are faced with similar challenges”.
The next Middle Management Workshop returns to Baden bei Wien in mid-November. Please contact Ms Sinziana Radu Gille, Event Manager, FIA Region I, for further information at sgille@fia.com.
