FIA Eurocouncil
The Eurocouncil comprises all the affiliated Clubs of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile from the Member States of the European Union and the Council of Europe.
Its aims are:
- To agree common policies on all aspects of transport, mobility and tourism in Europe.
- To support high levels of consumer protection, safety, security and environmental standards of transport in Europe.
- To seek the adoption and implementation of such policies by the European Union and other relevant intergovernmental organisations in Europe.
- To represent within the institutions of the European Union the interests of motorists and other road users to defend their rights as consumers to continued safe, secure, affordable and sustainable mobility.
- To monitor developments within the European Union, the European Conference of Ministers of Transport, the Council of Europe, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, and to take appropriate action where necessary.
- To organise events, activities and campaigns that enable member clubs of the FIA to promote the interests of motorists in Europe.
The Eurocouncil meets once a year. Currently 67 automobile and touring clubs are represented in the Eurocouncil.
